Copenhagen 17/10 2024. 50 cl bottle from Marius Mortensens Eftf. Off-white label with a black horizontal stripe, a couple of bees flying about and a jumbo-sized version of the brewery’s logo.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of honey, licorice and a nice bitter dark chocolate. Dark roasted malts, hints of brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft and almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a quite strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sourish undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is quite dry.
Not especially sweet for a Stout sweetened with honey.
