A wonderful Christmas beer that makes the Christmas bells ring and makes the Christmas girls dance around Santa Claus.
The Belgian character from the yeast is kept a little in the background in favor of the flavors and aromas of Christmas. I have tried to capture the whole of Christmas in the bottle, so that the good atmosphere and peace of Christmas comes to you, along with every sip you take.
You feel the full-bodied rum as the end of the taste that makes you lean back in your chair, relax, and say Ho-ho-ho like Santa Claus himself.
The rum that is added is Royal Danish Navy Frogman Conventus Ranae Rum, a tribute to the Royal Danish Frogman Corps.

Copenhagen 20/11 2024. 50 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Søndergade, Herning. Simple white label with a golden horizontal stripe and the logo of the brewery.
Pours opaque murky mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam floating in the middel of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet malty odor mingling with dark alcohol and some earthy notes. Brown sugar, raisins and plums. Dark chocolate and dark rum.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Very sweet take on a Belgian Dubbel.
