A full-bodied lager according to Czech traditions. A golden color, a round body and a well-balanced bitterness are the good characteristics. Of course, the malt is from the Czech Republic, as are the fantastic Saaz hops, which are very generously added during the brewing process. With Böhmer you experience how a lager should really taste. Goes well with the good, Danish lunch table, chicken and salads.
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna, Flaked Wheat, Caramunic I
Hops: Magnum, Saaz
Yeast: Lallemand Diamond Lager

Copenhagen 25/5 2025. 50 cl bottle from VinSpecialisten. Søndergade, Herning. Borg's usual label design with the white label with the golden horizontal stripe.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor soon overpowered by a sharp sourish scent. Hints of butter. Sweet pale malts and bread. Sour grains in abundance.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little rough around the edges. Buttery tang. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Not exactly Bohemian.
