LG Sydspids is a tasty Dark Ale ala IPA, but on the light end of the scale. It has a dark golden color and a nice light head. The taste comes from 3 different types of hops, cacao and other spices.

Copenhagen 8/11 2024. 50 cl bottle from Marius Mortensens Eftf., Frisegade, Nykøbing F. Black label with brewery's logo in gold.
Pours almost clear maroon with a red hue. Mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin, almost transparen layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of caramel mingling with light citric notes. Sweet caramel and toffee. A bit of brown sugar. cacao. Lime and citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light citric touch. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Not much sign of an Indian Pale Ale - but a nice bitterness, though.
