A spicy, full-bodied beer with good depth and a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Excellent as a Christmas beer and very suitable for heavy dishes such as roast pork with red cabbage.

Copenhagen 19/10 2024. 50 cl bottle from Marius Motensens Eftf. Label in black in LF Brygs simple design.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong sugary sweet, malty odor. Caramel and toffee. Brown sugar in abundance. Old Linoleum. Touch of glue.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Does pretty good with a bit of added Brown sugar.
