Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours an almost clear coppery brown color. There was a bit of an off-white head that left a little lacing. The aroma is milder, but nice. Rye, with hints of chocolate, roasted malts and floral. The taste is good. Rye, but not overdone. Some sweet malts and roastiness lurking also. Slightly dry finish. Nice!

5/16/07- Had on tap at Wolfpack Brewing in West Yellowstone, MT.
Presentation- From the tap into a 8oz pour glass.
Appearance- Darker brown in color. Mid range 1/2 inch head. Settles at a light rim. Leaves streaks and small patches.
Smell- Definite chocolate in the nose as well as some deep roasted malt. Smells as if it will be sweeter.
Taste- Not as sweet as expected. Pretty deep malted base with good chocolate notes and a decent hoppy flavor as well.
Mouthfeel- Nice chocolate aftertaste and a medium carbonation level.
Drinkability- My first of this style I believe. Reminds me of a stout/pale ale combo. Tasty and would have again.
