Brewed with five varieties of big hops, all bred and grown in WA state, Cedar Dust IPA has a distinctive herbal pine, citrus aroma. The addition of Mosaic hops, provide subtle blueberry undertones followed by a spicy, earth mouthfeel. Smooth and naturally carbonated, it has a unique blend of malts (including a secret dark malts!) which provide just enough backbone to balance it’s big hop character. Complex, delicious and refreshing! As they say, a bit of wood makes a big difference.

Good to have a steady BB IPA back online. This one is a welcome younger sibling to their formerly most excellent flagship IPA that has been in an unreliable, often dark, caramel mire over the past few years.

On tap at Empire Alehouse in Mt. Vernon. Medium amber color in the pint shaker. Foam diminishes fairly rapidly. Malty and mellow.

Sensationally aromatic. Warm and fruity with a nice woody (ah, the cedar) finish. Moderately bitter. A great Northwest IPA variation.

First in the new "Galbraith Series" of beers from the Bellingham standard. All beers in the series will be named after trails on regional Mt. Bike hot spot Galbraith Mountain. The beers are also made with a different yeast strain than BB's house yeast.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear light golden amber color, with about 1/3 inch of off-white head that had low retention and lacing. The aroma had a lot of citrusy hops, a light malt presence, and just a trace of pine hops in the background. The taste profile is very similar, with low malts, lots of citrus hops, a bit of pine, and a definite grapefruity citrus finish.

The body was the typical medium of American IPAs. Drinkability is very good, several pints have disappeared far too quickly. Overall, a pretty good beer that'll be worth seeking out during it's limited life span, once it's gone, it's gone.
