Had this on draught at the Collins Pub towards the end of March, so obviously not retired. Boundary Bay's Dry Hopped Amber is a dull, hazy pale amber with a white head that leaves lots of lace.

Smell is big hops, a nice dry pungency with a bit of malty sweetness.

Taste is also aggressively hopped, but not the cleanest alcohol. Nice malty amber backbone, but not as great as I expected from Boundary Bay with the execution overall.

Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, dry and medium bodied.

Drinkability is good, a nice big hoppy NW amber, but a little dirty for me to really love.

Appearance – This one came out of the tap a dark, brownish-orange in color. It showed some light carbonation and left a nice, pitting head on top of the liquid.

Smell – This one smelled rather tame. The hops were light, mostly floral, and the malts were pure American grain.

Taste – This is much bigger at the taste. The hops are huge and very complex. The prominent flavor here is the big, piney, citrusy hops. The grain is light and easily overwhelmed.

Mouthfeel – This light to medium-bodied Amber Ale has a big hop bitterness, especially at the finish.

Drinkability – Yes, it’s unbalanced, thin, and off-style. Hell, it’s not even amber. But you gotta love the over-hopped PacNW.
