Clear light bronze with two fingers of dense, near-white head. Decent effervescence. Thick, creamy lacing.
Wood, vinegar, white wine, creamy vanilla, floral hops, alcohol and some sort of medicinal mountain herb in the aroma.
Weirdly clean tasting, while jam-packed with flavor oddities. There’s some definite sourness and wood, as well as flashes of light pear, vanilla, medicinal herbs and banana. Some alcohol burn as well.
Smooth, lightly creamy feel with light carbonation.
This is a fun one to try. The wood came on a little strong at first to my taste, but as the beer warmed, the banana notes strengthened and made for a very interesting and enjoyable mix.

Served in shaker pint glass. Poured a hazy dark straw-gold color, with about an inch of white head that hadmoderate retention and no lacing.
There was a light grain aroma, topped by a spicy yeast scent. This is likely due to the 6 grains and 3 yeasts (Sake, sweet White Wine, and Kolsch) used. The hops were mellow and restrained, as expected by their German heritage.
The body was a touch on the light side of medium, and had a dry finish. Drinkability was good, you could knock back a couple on a warm summer afternoon. Overall, a pretty unique brew, worth trying if you see it.
