Rich chestnut brown color, nearly clear, with a substantial tan head. Beautiful beer, IMHO.
Aromas have the toffee and caramel aromas associated with the style, plus the barrel - and the Brett. Oh, the Brett.
The taste is an amalgamation if flavors: toffee/caramel, vanilla, oak, and the Brett. That was s what elevates this, the way the funky Brett melds (instead of collides) with the barrel and the winter warmer flavors. A beer that nearly defies description, it is outstanding, IMHO.
