Poured at fridge temp from a can. Pours a transparent yellow with fleeting white head. Bubbles rising throughout. The nose is wheat, honey, lemon, grass, sweet candy malts. The taste nicely follows the nose. Malty, lemons, orange, wheat, honey, leather, a floral note, grass, green grapes, and a touch of banana. Really nice, smooth, and crisp.

The mouthfeel is light and crisp. Fresh and enjoyable. A great pilsner.

A: Poured a clear golden color with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap, bubbles, lacing that reseds after a minute or so

S: Pretty straightforward here: Spice, grass, light floral notes with a hint of grain and bread

T: Immediate grains and light bready notes with some light spice and grass. It dried outmidbody and some hop bitterness comes in. The finish is a little sweet, grassy and somewhat crisp

M: Light bodied, well carbonated, easy and tasty on the palate. Well carbonated

O: Good but I do like to see a bit more head retention, lacing and bubbles on my this style

Served in Pilsner glass at the brewery. The recipe changes for this beer every year so it's always a little different. Poured a dark yellow color with a short white head that quickly dissipated leaving little lacing.

The aroma was slightly grainy but mostly neutral, not as much of a hop presence as in years past. The flavors were mostly of the sweet, grain variety with just a hint of hop tang at the finish. Again, this years version is not as hoppy as has been the case in the past.

The body was typical for the style, perhaps a little fuller than most Pilsners. Drinkability is good, you could (and I have) have several of these at a sitting. Overall, a decent beer worth trying.

"A light, honey colored lager with a beautiful hop aroma and flavor. This lager is brewed in a traditional manner using only the finest ingredients: Pilsner, Munich, and Vienna Malts and Saaz and Hersbucker Hops. This beer is fermented at lower temperatures than an ale, creating a drier body, with less fruity esters. Original Gravity: 1.050"

A: Clear gold with a white head; very little retention or lace.

S: Bread, grass & spice.

T: Bready malt, grass & spice from the hops, with some earthy bitterness. I enjoyed the balance of hop flavour from the Hersbruck (I'm not a huge fan of an all-Saaz Pils).

That said, there's a slightly sweet & fruity flavour that's not a characteristic of this style. Could/should it be lagered a little longer?

M: Moderate body & carbonation.

D: Quite drinkable.

Straw gold, very clear with a thin white head. Carbonation could be better. I wonder if this is the 1st Pils they drew frfom the tap today. Smell has nice earthy quality, slightly herbal. Light touch of citrus. Flavor has a lot of grapefruit citrus, a little grass. More citrus than I think should be in a pils. Just a touch off style. Slick, dry mouthfeel. Needs more carbonation, still very drinkable.
