Collab between two of my towns more established breweries Boundary bay and Chuckanut. 22oz bottle poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very pretty dark copper color with over an inch of off-white head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was malt-forward, with some notes of caramel, and some earthy hops.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the addition of some hop bite, especially on the back end.
The body was smooth, even, and had a semi-sweet finish that dried out after a few moments.
Drinkability was very nice, I'm a bit sad none was kegged (but, such is our current state of affairs), but i look forward to a few more bottles.
Overall, a good, solid, nice "drinking" beer. Worthy of your time if you see it.
