The latest in BBs Single Hop series, where the brewery makes a pale ale using only a single variety of hop and a different variety each time. This was served in a straight pint glass at the pub. Poured the typical pale ale color, a medium gold, with a solid 1 inch head that left minimal lacing.
As soon as I raised the glass the pleasant Amarillo hop aroma reached my nose with a floral/citrusy presence. The flavor was hop forward as this series is designed to be, that said the malt profile provides a solid foundation for the hops to cling to.
A solid, smooth and clean body makes this a very drinkable beer, one you could spend a sunny spring afternoon with, as I just did. I think this about #12 in the series and if not my favorite so far, is also not 4th or 5th either. If you're going to be in the 4th Corner in the near future this beer is worth going out of your way to try.
