Solid beer, has good structure. I'm a fan of the style so I will try these whenever I find them. Not over powering with hops but you get a decent amount. I'd suggest this to a friend. Have had both on tap and from the bottle.

Served in 16oz Willi Becher. Poured a nearly solid black, some light did peek through and showed the beer to be clear. it had 1/4 inch of tan head that had decent retention and light lacing.
The dominant component in the nose was coffee. Lots of coffee. Almost all coffee. Very light grain showed through.
Same on the tongue, coffee rules the day, with some slight hops showing through near the end. The finish lingered with bitterly strong coffee.
The body was light-medium, smooth, and crisp. It did have a semi-dry finish, which helped offset the coffee bite.
Drinkability was a chore for me, but I hate coffee, YMMV.
Overall, one-and-done for me. You might like it though.
