Served in 16oz Willi Becher. Poured an almost solid dark brown color with 2/3 inch of light tan head that had moderate retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was mostly lightly sweet malts with a touch of roast.
Same on the tongue; grainy malts and a bit of roastiness.
The body was fairly typical, perhaps a touch on the light side, smooth, and had a medium-sweet finish.
Drinkability was good, a smooth easy quaff.
Overall, a solid brew. Not one that stands apart from others of the style, but one that hits all the notes you'd expect it to. Worth a shot if you see it.
