Served a hazy dark honey color with little head with moderate lacing. Spice aromas with a little sweetness and maybe a hint of lemon. Taste is slightly bready with pale malts as the base with a little clove with a light hop bitterness and a slightly orange finish. Sweet alcohol is a little more than moderately present. Balance begins to tip slightly toward the hops near the end of the glass. An even carbonation combines with a lightly sticky, tongue coating.
This is an enjoyably heavy spring beer. I'm not sure of the ABV but it tastes like it's toward the upper range. I enjoyed the subtle spice and hops in this one, definitely worth a pint or two.

Served in stemmed, tapered goblet. Poured a golden honey color with 3/4 inch of off-white head that had OK retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma was sweet and malty, nicely full. The flavor was sweet with a nice malt background and a hint of yeasty spiceness.
The body was very good, full and smooth, although a bit on the sticky side. Drinkability was very good as well, I've had several and I'll have several more before this beauty is gone for the year.
It's good to see BB stepping out and trying beers outside their usual comfort zone. Come try this one while it's here.
