This is latest in BB's series of APA's that use the same malt bill and a different, single, hop each time. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a semi-hazy orange-gold color with about a half-inch of white head that had moderate retention and low lacing.
A grainy scent greeted the nose first, with a fruity hop aroma close behind. I had a hard time trying to figure out what kind of fruit I was smelling, citrus?, grapes?, Fruity Pebbles? On the tongue those fruity hop flavors were front and center and the base grains came through in a nice supporting role.
Body was nicely full, without being heavy, and smooth. The beer had a nice, easy level of drinkability. Overall, a good beer, but one that's not as crisp as some of the others in the series. It's an interesting exercise, finding out the different aspects of the various hops. Worth trying if you see it.
