A version of BB's Winter Ale that has been aged on Oak chips. The two years this has been sitting around has really smoothed this beer out. Cabin Fever, when fresh, is generally on the syrupy, sticky, sweet and hot side of the scale. This example poured beautifully, had a wonderful aroma and went down smooth and easy.
The oak added a nice, subtle background to the base beer (which is one of my yearly favorites from BB). The beer wasn't sticky, syrupy or hot, but was still on the sweet side.
I think there's only a handful of kegs of this and it's a must try if you see it. If your in the Seattle area, it's worth a drive up to Bellingham to get this while it's available.
