This the breweries regular Scotch Ale aged in Dry Fly Wheat Whisky barrels. The beer had the usual dark brown color, light tan head and semi-thick body of the regular example. The differences, obviously, come in the nose and on the tongue.
The sweet, malty aroma is at first overpowered by the whisky, but after few moments they seemed to balance out. That happened in the flavor profile as well. I had a pint early in the day and the whisky seemed really strong. The 2 pints I had in the evening, seemed more balanced and the flavors melded really well.
There will probably be few kegs of this showing at various accounts in the Seattle, a must try if you see it.
