This beer is basically a mix of the breweries Scotch Ale and IPA, an ISA if you will. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a hazy reddish amber color with about 1/2 inch of off-white head that had moderate retention and lacing.
The aroma was the slightly sticky sweet of the Scotch with a blast of of citrus hops. On the tongue, the beer was also smooth, malty and a bit sweet. The hops were certainly a secondary aspect.
The body smooth and medium, with a very sticky finish, and the flavors lingered at the back of the throat. Drinkability was OK, if you can deal with the sticky mouthfeel. Overall, an OK brew, perhaps not the most successful experiment, but probably worth a shot if you see it.
