WOW!!!
Poured from the taps at the Brauhaus and delivered to our table on the schloss Platz in a .5L Hefe glass. The liquid is goldish orange and extremely cloudy with good carbonation. The head is 3 fingers, slightly off white and leaves nice lace.
The smell is very rich and pungent with the aroma of banana and cloves. This beer is traditional and has some very serious spirit to it.
The taste is really outstanding, quite a good and complex hefe. This brew has some real strength in the taste to stand up to and complement the great meal we had. Great mild banana, the cloves are spot on and a touch of pepper, add a hint of lemon. Lots of great taste here.
The mouthfeel is quite full, makes me think it could be a weitzen boch, the carbonation is good really quite refreshing.
The drinkability of this brew is really refreshing. This is just the kind of brew I was hoping to find lots of during my travels in and around Germany.
Prosit, und Zum Wohl
