This dark, full-bodied beer welcomes you with roasty notes of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, soft vanilla and caramel. All of these flavours carry over beautifully into the taste as you sip. You'll feel the gentle floral notes of Slovenian Aurora and the bitterness of Magnum hops, which provide just the right amount of dryness by balancing the malty sweetness and roastiness that is to be expected with this traditional Irish beer style.

Copenhagen 1/8 2024. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. The label seems to be a mixture of diffrent patterns in all shades of brown.
Pours opaque dark mahogany with a big light beige head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet and a bit candy-like odor mingling with a more subtle scent of bitter dark chocolate. Sweet caramel and toffee with a healthy dose of brown sugar. Licorice and dark chocolate.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a pleasant sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
Quite sweet - but overall well balanced.
