I tried this beer at the brewery. It poured a dark almost opaque clear amber with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of roast and caramel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast caramel presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Opaque black beer with a light tan head that fades quickly and leaves no lacing. There is a ring of head around the edge of the glass that lingers though. Burnt sugar or toffee smells combine with roasted malt. Nice sweetness to the beer with malt and toffee. Finishes mildly bitter. This is a very mild and easy drinking beer.

On-tap at Babe's
A: The beer pours a very dark brown with a rather creamy tan head.
S: Starts off a little buttery, but that seems to diminish with time. Moderate roastiness with some nice toasted malt and an earthy and floral hop profile. A little bit of bread and toffee sweetness.
T: The flavor also shows some butter. Sweet with a big creamy caramel flavor. Some roast, but not all that intense. A mild bitterness to go along with some light earthy hop notes.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: One of the least awful beers at Babe's, but that's not saying much.

Pleasant dark lager of no great distinction.
Very dark with a chestnut cast. Modest head and not a very enthusiastic feel in the mouth. Fairly malty. Best feature is the pleasant hint of roasted barley. Hops a barely discernible, but the whole affair is low-key and more hops would throw it off.
The best of a not very interesting bunch of beers at Babe's. I wanted to bring back a jug of anything from the desert towns, and this was the best I could do. However it is fine for a quaff, just not worth a detour.

A-Brown tinged black body with a medium rich and creamy off-white head that held on and left decent lace.
S-No aroma at all....would expect at least a hint of malt.
T-A nice rescue here with notes of light roasted caramel and lesser notes of chocolate and coffee. Nothing strong all very mild.
M-Medium-light body and little to no aftertaste. Very smooth.
D-Light and easy drinking. Nothing to offend here and not much to excite either, a bit boring for me to love. Would love a bit more roasted/toasted malt complexity and a lingering finish.
