Gemütlichkeit Pale Ale from Skuldborg Bryghus is a beer that encapsulates the essence of coziness, community and good company. Inspired by the German idea of “Gemütlichkeit” – a feeling of warmth, friendliness and relaxed well-being – this pale ale is created to be enjoyed in the company of good friends, where conversation flows and the atmosphere is at its best.
In the glass it presents itself with a beautiful golden amber color and a slightly hazy glow, topped by a creamy, white head. Already at the first smell you can sense a lovely balance between fresh citrus, mild flowers and a discreet caramelized malt scent, which gives the beer an inviting roundness.
The taste is soft and pleasant, where notes of juicy oranges, ripe peaches and a hint of honeydew melon dance lightly on the tongue. A light bitterness from the carefully selected hops gives a crisp and refreshing finish, while the well-balanced malt base provides a gentle body that makes the beer both easy to drink and full-bodied at the same time.
Gemütlichkeit Pale Ale is the perfect companion for a warm summer evening on the terrace, a hearty platter of good cheeses and sausages or simply as a well-chosen companion for a relaxing moment in the armchair.
Take a sip, sit back and feel the calm descend – Skuldborg Bryghus has once again captured the essence of coziness in a bottle. Cheers!

Copenhagen 8/9 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Orange can in Skuldborg's usual style with some flowers in a seventies design.
Pours unclear golden amber with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with a gentle citric scent. Sweet caramel and sweet ripe peach. Light whiff of grapefruit. Dry vibe.
Light carbonation. Slightly. this, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable bitter undertone. Lingers for a bt. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent but a little flat.
