Copenhagen 9/5 2018. 33 cl bottle from Edeka, Damp. White label with a seashore in gold and what looks like a Lighthouse.
Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam exactly covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate Lacing.
Aroma is sweet malts, wet grass, cardboard and very subdued sour notes.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by weak bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with lightly sour overtones.
Utterly unexciting.

April 2006: 330 ml bottle, in Germany. A typical German pils, not very malty but with a distinct hoppy bitterness - not overdone, though. Reminds me of Veltins.

A - Nice, pale golden color; transparent; carbonation rising aggressively. Decent head which dissipated fairly quickly.
S - Sharp smell of wheat, maybe some caramel, grass.
T - Very refreshing; has a little bit of a bite for a pilsener; cheap barley; pilsener malts.
M - Pretty well carbonated; a little bitter; levels off to a smooth, dry finish.
O - Poured from a can in Germany straight out of a beer advent calendar (!); Very refreshing, a light pilsener; would be a nice session beer at a tailgate or a party; not very complex, though; carbonation is fairly intense too.

Pours a pale golden color with a foamy, big head.
Smells of grass, cardboard, wheat and a note of toffee.
Has a refreshing, light body, with a perfectly nuanced, higher carbonation.
Tastes of wheat, toffee and a watery softness, together with a mineralic, sparkly carbonation. Develops a light dryness after the swallow, which gets almost immediately overpowered by more toffee. Finishes relying almost entirely on wheat and a slightly metallic note.
Just a little bit dryer and better balanced than your typical industrial Pils, this is solid.

Half-litre brown *glass* bottle (many other reviews are from plastic).
Ten-and-a-half months before sell by date (unusually fresh I think -- even for here in Germany).
Poured in a half-litre narrow pils stein.
Looks okay, average pils, head holds reasonably, a little lacing.
This is a quite satisfying pils, easy to drink, mouthfeel is good, there is lots of carbonation there, but if poured fairly aggressively in the right glass it works well. It's got a nice balance, smooth bitterness coming through ever stronger with a dry bitter finish. There's something niggling in the taste (and smell), I'm having trouble pinning it down, but it's minor enough to allow me to enjoy.
Would drink it again if I came across it.
