Inspired by the famous Lakeland fell-walker Alfred Wainwright, our master brewers go the extra mile too. They search near and far for quality English malt and hops and tirelessly craft unique combinations worthy of the Wainwright name, like this satisfyingly moreish Amber Ale. Full-bodied flavour that’s creamy and lightly fruity, with a crisp, clean finish. Enjoy.

This is evidently a very new spinoff of Wainwright, The Golden Beer. Both are now brewed by Marston's. We saw this for the first time cask at Loggerheads in Shrewsbury, along with a range of Banks's and Marston's beers.

Dark amber. Creamy lasting white head. Aroma rich bread and raisins. Taste strong slightly caramelized biscuit. Light fruit sweetness balanced with nice gentle bitterness. Very balanced. Very smooth. Easy drinking but tasty. Feel smooth and velvety. Not quite oily but just enough oiliness to give velvety feel. Slightly less oily than the Golden Ale.
