This dry, dark Mexican-style lager has a gentle hop bitterness and blends roasted malt and corn for a balanced, yet simple finish.

This is from a can purchased at Burton's Liquor Mart on 71st and Sheridan. No date.

Look:
Crystal clear brown. Undercarbonated. Weak head. Thin ring of foam.

Sniff:
Caramel, raw bread dough, slight spice.

Sip:
Caramel, burnt toast, dry and a bit of spicy noble hop. Doughy aftertaste.

Swish:
Light to medium body, lingering astringency that builds up. Feels a bit like red wine or tea with the astringency and lack of carbonation.

Think:
I hope this is an anomaly. I will try this at the brewery on tap and report back.
