375ml draft
Pours two fingers of dense white head into a wheat glass. Retention is very good. Lacing is great. Body is a hazy straw yellow. Looks really nice.
Nose is incredibly creamy, with a firm citrus undertone that first seems like artificial orange but is more likely yuzu. Feels like it’s trying to be a hazy ipa but more subtle, ie better. Smells very inviting.
Flavor is interesting, much more down to earth. Underlying notes of citrus, definitely not artificial, gives a San Pelligrino-y feel. Somehow it works, really refreshing.
Carbonation is quite light, though there is a mineral, effervescent feel to it. Body is relatively light. Bitterness is modest. Sweetness is low. Overall the mouthfeel is a little odd with the low carbonation, but it has a feathery feel to it and drinks really well.
Overall this is definitely trying to be a hazy ipa but I would not be surprised if there was a significant amount of rice in here too, which would be fucking awesome and would explain the delicate palate.
