Melphi's

In the little village of Amalfi, if one walks north on Via Lorenzo D'Amalfi, the main artery through town, past all of the tourists that cluster around the central square, up, up, and a bit further, refreshment will be found at this uber-nano brewery. Open for just a few months when we visited, the little place with a bright modern particle board paneled interior was full of staff and thirsty tourists (a dozen or so can fit inside). Staff was enthusiastic about their offerings and proffered generous tastes. Indeed, their beers are refreshing and enjoyable. In addition to the four beers on tap, they had another half dozen in bottles. Other products and small gifty items were available for sale.

Some local art adorned the walls, as did entertaining post-it notes from visitors which staff was encouraging. We affixed an appropriate message (secured with provided nails) while quaffing our pints.

Melphi's is worth the walk, and there are many interesting other things to enjoy in the immediate vicinity.
