Poured from 500mL can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Best by 3/19/26.
Appearance: somewhat dark golden hue with a moderate haze and a thick head of light tan foam. Darker than I think of the style as being typically, but within guidelines.
Smell: moderately sweet and appropriately wheaty with a nice dose of the classic banana and clove yeast aroma. A well-put-together hefeweizen.
Taste: a nice kind of breafast-cereal wheatiness without being too grainy, plus, again, the banana and clove. Bitterness is nicely balanced.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is a classic take on a classic style. Helka have done a pretty good job here -- this is one of their better beers I think.
