Poured from 500mL can into my Lord Chambray tumbler. Best by 2/22/26.
Appearance: medium golden-yellow hue with a moderate haze and a finger of ivory foam atop.
Smell: moderately sweet with kind of an overripe tropical fruitiness. Honestly I can't tell if the aroma is due to the hop combo, or some weird off-aroma from fermentation. I will assume the former, but man, it's just a little too much like fruit that's just about to go bad.
Taste: moderately sweet malt with a more restrained version of the "overripe passionfruit" aroma. There's a little bit of sharpness to the hops that I don't love, though. This beer is odd, and I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt that this is what the brewer intends but that it's just not my particular jam.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer is so strange, but it's no drain pour. I still can't decide whether it's supposed to be this way or not! Would love for more people to weigh in on this one.
