Copenhagen 17/4 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Small Batch's usual can design with a black circle with the silhouette of a hop flower surrounded by a green background.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of roasted malts mingling with a citric scent. Earthy notes. Dark roasted malts, coffee grounds, humid soil and toffee. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong malty sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. A bit searing. Lingers for a while, Finish is rather dry.
Well-balanced Black IPA.
