Classic English Brown Ale with a beige persistent head that hangs like curtains in the glass. The taste is toasted with notes of dark sugar and roasted coffee followed by light sweetness, caramel and finishes with notes of licorice.
Hops: Warrier, Fuggle & East Kent Holding
Malt: Pale, Munich, Crystal, Pils & Chokolate

Copenhagen 4/1 2020. 50 cl bottle from Bornholmerbutikken, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. Small Batch’s usual design with the hop-flower in two shades of brown.
Pours unclear maroon with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of dense and fluffy foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, sweet with a light roast and spiciness. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Lightly roasted dark malts. Light spiciness. Thyme and pepper.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, a bit creamy texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
Good well-balanced brown ale emulating the English style of brown ale. Not adventurous but solid.
