Copenhagen 8/3 2026. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Orange label in Gamborg' usual cartoonish style with two ducks getting ready for a gun duel.
Pours opaque dark maroon with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty and toasted odor mingling with a citric scent. Caramel, biscuits and toasted bread. Whiff of brown sugar. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a citric twist. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Fine bitter Brown Ale with a toasted malt base.
