It is our first recipe of Oatmeal Imperial Stout totally based on German Specialty Malts (Weyermann). Rich and full-bodied Oatmeal Imperial Stout aged in Scotch barrels.
Intense notes of caramel, chocolate and coconut. It is intensive and rich scotch straight beer.

Copenhagen 10/12 2022. 33 cl waxed bottle from DrikBeer web-shop. Simple black label with the name and description of the beer in gold and white.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing,
Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugary odor mingling with a more aggressive scent of dark alcohol. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar and toffee. Spice odor of whisky. Earthy notes of cellar and soil.
Light carbonation. Quite thick, oily, soft, creamy, viscous, yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a notable bitter undertone. Searing. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
I enjoyed this together with a piece of Lindt milk chocolate formed as a Teddy Bear. The Bear did not stand a chance.
