Copenhagen 13/12 2022. 33 cl bottle from H. J. Hansen Vin, Vestergade, Odense. Simple black label with a big white #08 and Anders Coisbo's signature.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a dark sweet, malty odor mingling with a prominent salty scent of licorice and alcohol. Caramel and toffee. Roasted malts. Salt licorice and a bit of bacon. Sharp edge of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Potent, salty and oddly tart. With a healthy dose of alcohol.
