Copenhagen 5/5 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb F. Totally black can with the name of the beer written in blue. Signature from Mr. Coisbo. Seems to be part of a series named after major cities.
Pours hazy amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and with a more moderate sour bitterness. Ripe berries, peach, melon and mango. Caramel rummaging as well. Lighter citric notes of Grape fruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undercurrent. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Confusing drink. Quite sweet for an IPA - but not without bite.
