In order to revive the culture of beer brewing in Pegnitz, we, Hewei GmbH & Co. KG, want to launch a crowdfunding campaign together with beer lovers from the region. We want to make a difference for beer culture, for future generations, and above all for community spirit. The first step is to renovate the brewhouse in Pegnitz, following the example of the Heberbräu brewery in Kirchenthumbach. The current condition of the brewery is bordering on dilapidation – now is the time to counteract this by renovating the brewery, especially the brewhouse, in accordance with ecological standards and operating it in the same way in the future. With the renovation of the Heberbräu brewery in Kirchenthumbach in 2003, we have the necessary know-how to brew down-to-earth, healthy, ecological, and handcrafted beer from the region. The goal is to increasingly rely on regional raw materials in production. Our ambition is to create added value for residents and travelers, a space for togetherness, culture, learning, and exchange. We want to restore the highest value to the existential good that is food in a special environment and promote the conscious consumption of beer.
