Unlike Blue Moon's flagship Blue Moon Belgian White, which is a wheat beer, Moon Haze is the first, nationally-released pale ale from Blue Moon Brewing Company. Moon Haze has a juicy orange, tropical, coconut taste, an aroma of heavy citrus tropical with notes of orange, pineapple, mango, a whisper of coconut, and a smooth taste with a touch of bitterness to finish.

Picked up a Sixer on sale at Sprouts. Sounds refreshing, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top, I get a I get a waft of citrus and a classic grapefruit. Pours to a bright orange with a huge foamy head and pulp in the mix. Taste is a nice hop belt with a chewy body up front, followed by a bitter orange middle than finishes bitter and sour on the palate. This is very nice. Wood go great with seafood or chicken. Quenches the thirst and cleanses the palate.

At first, it looked like a typical adjunct lager, just a little richer in color. Then came the excessive just-off-white foam, which after its sudden and unappreciated rise, quickly began to recede unevenly and quite unattractively. Still, after a slight pause, the contents of a 19 fluid ounce can ended up inside a clear glass liter mug. Obviously, there's plenty of carbonation and the little flecks of dried orange are constantly swimming throughout. Yes, there's orange aroma in the air, but there's also something else, something stale-like. That rich color mentioned, is golden-amber. There's plenty of floating solids, yet it's only mildly hazy. Individual fingers can be seen readily through the filled vessel. The best that can be said about its taste is that it's not too orangey. It tastes more like orange rind than the juice of the fruit. The body is as suspected from a wheat beer, thin and not up to carrying even this much taste. In fairness, there also is a distinct hoppy bitterness, so the effort to make a distinguishable pale ale is a success. For all the tiny solids observed, none seem to register on the tongue. So, this isn't terrible, although the glass lacing is, despite a lingering partial head. It's a bitter orange wheat beer that will work for some, but probably not those that would prefer a basic American Pale Ale. Reaching the bottom of the glass it becomes apparent why the tongue never detected the floating solids. Most sank to the bottom of the glass. Good thing there's never demerits for settled residue.

L: Hazy, golden orange, can't see through
S: orange, cirtus, wheat, (potato?)
T: Pretty juicy, medium body, really taste the dried oranges but I would prefer a little more
F: Easy drinking, medium carbonation, not too heavy
O: Pretty solid. Glad to see a hazy pale ale, in an age where everything has to be an IPA. I will say its not the juciest thing I've had but balanced and drinkable.

Was going to grab a sixer of these before heading down to the river, but decided I had enough beer, would bang it later. Then I show up and of course some girls already had bought some and didn't like it, so they gave me their remaining 3 beers. Luck be a lady tonight.
Pours a hazy yellow. 1/3" white head, below average retention. The aroma was citrus like terpenes and the whole show, hops, rind, terpene like varied candied oranges in the nose. Surprised here.
Taste brings this sweeter edge to a pale ale. Gone are the light bitter notes of a normal pale ale, here they replace it with this orange julius like sweetness and pillow edge to the malt bill. Hazy pale ale that has this lactose feel to it, but it doesn't piss me off like normal, they left enough hops and barley to keep it w one foot in the beer wheelhouse.
There's a few beers out there that are just orange bombs. This is one of them. There is a little bit more than just orange, but the tropical still boosts it up.
