Had on tap at the brewery 10oz pour came with the happy hour burger.
On arrival a 1 finger head of fine white bubbles was present on a light brownish amber clear body with light lazy carbonation. Some decent lacing forms but the head does dissipate to a ring around the rim.
Aroma is a subdued citrus carrying orange but also hoppy grapefruit. I'm not sure if this is actually brewed with fruit or just juicy hops. Otherwise aroma is quite light despite the color.
Flavor follows the aroma but brings a nice ipa note along with it. A big hoppy bitterness is present but it's balanced by a nice sweet maltiness that is almost caramel. There is a slight fruity sweetness but again I'm not actually sure if this is brewed with blood orange or just some really nice juicy hops.
Feel is big and carbonated with a nice smooth mouth coating feel and a decently long finish without the bitterness being overwhelming. Despite that it is quite refreshing and pair's quite well with the burger that this came with.
Overall this is a very nice hoppy bitter pale ale. Iike an ipa but slightly maltier and sessionable, not to mention better than a sessionable IPA. The more I drink it the more I like it. It's a light fruity hoppy slightly malty beer and I'm enjoying it.
