craft beer outlet ne philly 1/2 price drafts and growler fills on tuesday. i just happened to be in the city last night. sometimes you just want a draft, and something different, low abv. sampled both this and the caramel apple spiced ale, not being a fan of spiced beers, i went with this one, passing on all the good craft available, because i had somewhere to be, and didnt want to show up buzz. $2.50 pint.

pretty dark amber, brownish color. standard bar type pour, no head at all. should have told the kid how i wanted it poured, head please!!! nice smoky aroma, should be bigger. dark malts, smoke, and lots of malty sweetness. not getting the chocolate or bacon. drinkable, decent mouthfeel, though the sweetness became obnoxious by the end. almost like a spicy sweet lager, is this really a porter?

overall decent but nothing to have again. just another attempt for macro to appeal to the masses, for the craft beer lite crowd.

Poured from tap into pint at Papago.
Deep brown slight amber no head or lacing.
Smells of malty sweet smoked goodness
Taste is of slightly smokey sweet malts with a bit of roasty hops.
This is the most mild smoked brew I ever had, but it works so well with the roasted malts. I think this is an experimental brew from coors, but if any smokes beer were to appeal to the masses, this is it. Nice job coors...yes, I said it.
