Kittanning Beer

Pours a bright straw with a small head which leaves some nice lacing on the surface. Smell is big grassy herbal hops. Taste is likewise- big herbal noble hops. Lingering bitterness. Mellow and smooth light malt with very low sweetness. Crisp. Quite drinkable. What a nice surprise! I was born in the small town that this beer is named after and I still live there- I have been here most of my life, although I was away for a while. So I just had to try a beer called "Kittanning Beer" although I had no indication of what it was- I expected some generic macro lager and got an excellent Czech pils! Very nice. We've got a lot of Eastern European Czech and Slovak heritage around so it makes sense. Nice to be able to get this local and very fresh as it makes a difference for this style.
