L- Appears properly black, as often though held to a bright light and it's very dark ruby red. 15mm pillowy thick mid-tan head. (Holds well, right through me drafting this whole review).
S- Seems mild, just a bit of the toasty-roasty.
T- Light, brightish hops into quite dark roast and then a somewhat smokey/toasty lick in the finish.
F- Punchy flavour comes with quite a light body, well it is 4.1%
O- Nicely done for a stout, SO much more to it than that well known factory stout from o'er the waters. My bottle is directly ex-fridge and on a 25C/sunny day I'm finding this surprisingly refreshing.

On tap at Michel Pub (Gonars - Udine, Italy).
Dark brown-to-black body with an average, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with nice lacing.
Moderate malty (roasted) aroma with notes of chocolate, cocoa, light coffee and dark fruits.
Moderate sweet and light-to-moderate bitter flavour; long-lasting dry bitter finish.
Medium body with watery-to-oily texture; soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a frothy tan head which recedes quickly.
An understated roasted malt aroma with a bit of liquorice.
Sweetish with a mild bitter finish. Lightly toasted white bread.
Light to medium body for a stout with a soft carbonation.
Typical ES.

Bevis Maun is drinking a Hobgoblin Stout by Wychwood Brewery

Bottled and part of a box set that was a present for services rendered. Pours a jet black body with nice tan head. Aroma is dry nuts and nutty dry. Flavour is that. Very thin should be Hobgoblin porter
