Classic imperial Stout with great complexity and body. Flavor notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, licorice, burnt bread and smoke.
Black Pearl has a high but balanced bitterness.

Copenhagen 18/1 2022. 33 cl bottle from Beerlivery. Bang & Harbo’s usual sketchy and detailed design in a light grey version with a neat drawing of some hop flowers.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Stable. Settles as a 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet maltyand roasted odor mingling with earthy notes. Dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, toffee and brown sugar. Compost and leather. Dark alcohol peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste bitter. Lingering. Finish is dry licorice.
Fine well balanced Imperial Stout which avoids being overly boozy.
