A Imperial Stout for connoisseurs and connoisseurs. Lovely, big and complex fullness with hints of vanilla, coffee, licorice, cocoa, burnt sugar and smoke.
Psyche and soma (body) are inextricably linked. Maybe they are one? – and maybe we will never fully understand the commonality right down to the core.
This Soma is jet black, soft and round with balanced bitterness, which if you taste it, can give the most devilish whims. Cheers to Dr. Jekyll, but mostly to Mr. Hyde.

Copenhagen 14/6 2020. 50 cl bottle from Vild med Vin web-shop. White version of Bang & Harbo's usual design with a drawing of a Hop cone and a little ghost with Devil's horns.
Pours dark brown with a big light beige head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a lightly sweet, roasted odor. Brown sugar, toffee, roasted dark malts. Light coffee odor peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, creamy texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingering. Finish is bitter and semi-dry.
Fairly light for an Imperial stout. But manages to balance a substantial sweetness with a notable bitterness.
