Copenhagen 15/5 2019. 50 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give (web-shop). Bang & Harbo's usual pretty cool, sketched, pencil style label design in a dark red version. Drawing of a hop cone as the main motive.
Pours slightly hazy, dark brown with a red hue. Small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as lonely, thin patch of foam and along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and sweet. Brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits. Lightly roasted malts. Bready and malty. Light tart notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft texture.
Flavor has a strong, malty sweetness followed by a light sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is very sweet. Lingering with slightly burnt tang.
Decent but very sweet take on a Dubbel.
