Copenhagen 5/4 2019. 50 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give (Web-shop). Nicely done hand drawn label with a hop cone and some ornamentals. Almost look like a sketch for a final design - a little sloppy but nicely done. A very small brag about winning gold in the Danish Craft Beer championship.
Pours clear, dark brown with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick, creamy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is sweet, lightly roasted with a tart fruity edge. Lightly roasted malts. Brown sugar. Fruity, tart odor of unripe berries and citrus.
Light carbonation. Soft, creamy, thick and fat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger tart bitterness. Aftertaste is moderately bitter. Lingers for a bit.
Pleasant and very soft Brown Ale. On the verge of being too soft. With a fine balance between sweetness and bitterness.
