On-tap 6/10/2015 at the brewpub in Providence, RI, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a light purple color, with a medium dense white head that fades very slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains tart grapes, caramelized malts and some hops.
T: The taste starts out with a tart and sweet flavors of grapes up front. Then some flavors os caramel and a hearty malt character come in. The hops presence is very mild and there isn’t much balance as the tart grape flavor comes back in. The after-taste is harshly tart even though it isn’t that strong.
M: Crisp but not very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Not very tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, good kick, not the best representation of style, I can see what they were going for but it did not work out very well in this beer.
