After what are becoming more frequent visits to Union Station, I finally got around to sampling the Ripple. Definitely one of their best beers to date. It pours a rich and deep amber in color with a slight head. Even though it dissipitates completely, there remains enough around the edge to create a nice stringy lace aroun the glass. The aroma is of hop oranges and grapefuit. The taste is nicely balanced between the rich (almost molasses) malts and the green hop kick. A full bouquet of citrus is also present. The mouthfeel is just short of crisp thanks to the malts. Very easy to drink this beer. I did not ask, but I think the ABV might be slightly higher than the 4.75% listed here. I will ask on my next visit. Enjoyed it with the calamari and it was a nice complement.
