On-cask, at this unfortunately unimpressive brewpub. This was a dark cola brown colour with not much of a head on this hand-pulled, English pint of stout. The aromas are thin, but what is there is nice. some lightly roasted malts, milk chocolate, and maybe a bit of weak coffee? The taste is watery, but the coffee and chocolate flavors are nice and smooth. Drinkability is ok, and mouthfeel, even for a cask brew is just too light for me. not the worst, but certainly not too impressive!

Pretty good for a RI brew. Poured dark with just a finger deep head. But it vanished fairly fast. The bartender seemed to have very little difficulty pumping out this cask ale compared to some others I have seen. The nose was sweet and malty, slightly oatmeal. The flavor made me think of buttermilk pancakes--with a malty syrup. Light chocolate tones were present too. There was just the slightest hop bitter in the finish. Maybe a tad unbalanced--but not so much that most people would notice.
Note: I am gonna head back in a few weeks, the bartender said the brewer has a couple of kegs he has conditioning that is adding cappuccino to top if off. I think it'll be interesting with that addition.
